A respected guy, who continues to do the real work, on a daily basis once said, “people, not programs or curricula change lives.” In other words, relationships, listening, eye contact, follow up questions, showing up for another person is what really makes an impact on someone’s life.

It was a privilege to lead the fourth annual Vinny D. Monumental Heart Hike. Our aim is to connect, move and raise enough money to put one kid in front of our caring and open hearted coaches with paddling as the reason and molding, shaping and loving as the intention, day after day.

My dad would be proud of the good work being done at SDCKT and if he found and extra dollar in his pocket (unlikely as that was) I know he’d pledge.
